Client: Carmax Location:  San Diego, CA Project: Garage Floor Systems Used: Dubro, Thin Film Auto mega store, CarMax, opened a brand new location on 35 acres in Murrieta and was in need of epoxy coatings throughout. This is their largest multi-purpose facility on the West Coast. The new space houses auctions, a used car lot and reconditioning hub. The area was a blank slate and Life Deck was called in to install several protective coating systems throughout the facility.

Epoxy Coatings

The service drive where cars come in to get repaired or reconditioned was coated with an epoxy primer and then epoxy sand double broadcast with polyaspartic topcoat in black with yellow safety lines. The bathrooms were also coated in an epoxy sand double broadcast with a polyaspartic topcoat but in gray and with integral cove which makes for a seamless and easy to clean floor. The photo booth floor, where cars are photographed for sale, was coated in a thin film polyaspartic system in white which made for a picture-perfect canvas for the newly reconditioned cars to be photographed against. In total, we installed 3,500 square feet of protective floor coatings that will provide CarMax with years of service.
