CBX Expansion at Tijuana Airport

The new expansion called for polished concrete at the Tijuana airport’s Cross Border Express (CBX).  This renovation doubles the area to permit faster customs processing for the international flights. CBX

Our team ground the existing concrete slab to prepare for patching cracks and holes. Grinding the patching flush was followed by application of a densifier that hardens the concrete. The surface was polished to a high sheen to match the existing areas. Westcoat’s SC-24 Polish Guard was applied then burnished, a high speed buffering process that heats up the sealer and melts it into the concrete.

Polished Concrete Benefits

Polished concrete is great for large commercial spaces due to its durability in high traffic spaces. Maintenance includes daily sweeping and a basic cleaning schedule. Polish guard can be applied to rejuvenate the shine.
